imagej software package provides Image processing program inspired by NIH Image for the Macintosh, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install imagej
imagej is installed in your system.
Make ensure the imagej package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep imagej *
You will get with imagej package name, version, architecture and description in a table
